Jasmine Dragon Pearl green tea comes from the misty mountains of Fujian Province, China. The most tender tea leaves and buds are hand-picked in the early spring and gently processed. The enzymes that cause oxidation and fermentation are naturally de-activated, thus preserving the polyphenols and retaining the strong antioxidant activity. Then, following an 800-year-old tradition, the tea leaves go through a lengthy double-imprinting process that utilizes equal weight of freshly opened flowers to infuse the unforgettable aroma of jasmine blossoms into the leaves. Finally, the scented leaves are hand rolled into small balls the size of pearls.

Flavor: Subtly sweet and profoundly floral, with a fresh, delicate green tea base that complements the jasmine's sweetness. The tea has a smooth, velvety texture and a lingering aftertaste that is both refreshing and slightly sweet.
Directions: Add the amount of botanicals per a recipe, as desired, or as directed by a health practitioner. The proper way of extracting botanicals depends on parts used. Flowers, fruits and leaves can usually be steeped or decocted (boiling over fire) while stems, barks and roots typically require decocting.
In a Desktop Botanical Garden™ Glass Tea & Elixir Maker, add 1 part botanical(s) and 5-8 parts water, steep or decoct for 5-20 minutes. You can boil water directly in the Elixir Maker. Repeat this process for 2nd or 3rd extraction until all active constituents have been extracted.
